Over the weekend of 11th to 13th December, we organised a charity running event. 100 runners from all over the UK signed up to run either 5 or 10k with all profits going directly to the Shelter charity.
It was a great weekend with many runners having run their very first 10km and the achievement they felt was exhilarating. Some of our lovely runners signed family members up and our youngest runner was 5 years old who completed a 5k run.
Over the past year, RTB has donated to many charities. But this one felt special as at this time of year, while we are lucky to be in the warmth at home, there are those less fortunate who are on the streets so it was nice to give something back. We all know how difficult 2020 has been for many charities, so to be able to donate £1,862.00 was an amazing feeling for all our RTB family and friends.
Our Facebook discussion group was a hive of activity that weekend and the photos of our runners were so inspiring they left a warm glow in our hearts. It's amazing what our community can achieve together.
